SBP editorial: The recovery is remarkable - but it’s still fragile

IDA Ireland, the state’s inward investment agency, last week announced that employment at foreign-owned companies reached 210,433 at the end of 2017, surpassing the agency’s five-year target of 209,000 two years ahead of schedule.

IDA-backed companies created 19,851 jobs last year, and after job losses are factored into the calculations, the net number of new jobs created by IDA companies was 10,684.
