The industrial action by nurses in our health service has already become ‘a threat to life and limb’. And it’s set to escalate this week. So what can be done?

Last Thursday, the HSE’s chief clinical officer told RTÉ Radio that this week’s planned nurses’ strike, over three consecutive days, will seriously damage the capacity of the health service to function, and that the cumulative impact of those and the previous strike days will make a quick recovery virtually impossible.
