There is no ‘war on Christians’

In the wake of the Sri Lanka suicide bombings, the media has been accused of downplaying the persecution of Christians. But the facts don’t bear this out

‘From the Middle East to parts of Asia and Africa, there is a war on Christians,” wrote the British political journalist Mehdi Hasan in The Intercept, in the wake of the Sri Lanka suicide bombings that targeted Christians at Easter services last Sunday.
