After €100 million in charitable donations from the local boy made good, few in his native county begrudge JP McManus his fortune

JP McManus’s tax arrangements have never been of much concern to the people of Limerick. And the recent revelations that the long-standing tax exile claimed to be a quasi-resident of Ireland in an effort to stave off a US tax bill is unlikely to change that.
