Minority governments are here to stay

It looked like a temporary arrangement until something better came along. Yet six months later, the 32nd Dáil continues in its very ‘European’ manner

More than six months in and having concluded its first full terms, the 32nd Dáil is still struggling to find its feet. The experiment with new politics was perhaps best summed up by Gerry Adams as “arse” – a fitting conclusion to a year where we either had no government at all, or a government that couldn’t govern.
