McGurk: The Craggy Island election primer
Even Fr Dougal gets the message eventually
Exterior. Craggy Island. It’s election time. In the cold wind blowing across the the desolate landscape, election posters flap. Nothing is changing and seemingly nothing ever will.
Fr Dougal is canvassing and he walks up the path to knock on a front door. A somewhat embarrassed Fr Ted, clipboard in hand, waits surreptitiously at the gate.
Dougal rings the bell and presently the householder, a large no-nonsense looking guy answers. He seems unimpressed already.
