Watching events at Westminster on Tuesday night as we creep towards March 29 and Brexit, a foreboding sense of deja vu was deepening. Is this 2019 or 1969? Are we back again in the North’s last-chance saloon, in those unforgettable weeks between the rising demands of the civil rights movement and the August eruption that brought in the British army?
