Public sector pay demands are the result of Enda Kenny over-hyping the recovery
Before calling the general election earlier this year, Enda Kenny held a meeting of his Fine Gael ministers in which a small minority raised objections to that fateful campaign slogan “Let’s keep the recovery going”. Among those who reportedly argued that it should, instead, be “A recovery for all” were Paschal Donohoe and Frances Fitzgerald.
