Glanbia merely played by a broken set of rules

As if we needed any reminding, the 28,000 leaked documents chronicling Luxembourg’s cosy relationship with multinationals again reinforced the fact that the global system of taxation is fundamentally broken.

The system, dominated and designed by national governments, is not competent in an age of multinational corporations and truly global commerce. Bluntly, the system is not fit for purpose.
