Our society has become more diverse over the past decade: by race, by education, by income and by wealth. The prospects for our younger adult population have changed. The population cohort in the 20-35 age group is likely to be the first generation of young Irish adults that will go through adult life poorer than their parents, facing greater difficulty in accumulating wealth for home purchase and provision for old age.
