From national policy down to the detailed engineering requirements of potable water treatment, everyone in Ireland seems to have an opinion on water. Unfortunately, so many of these opinions, although often the loudest heard, rarely have any basis in fact or international best practice. Instead they rely on thoughts, sound bites and populist comment.
