Everyone is asking why the nuns want to run a maternity hospital. But perhaps the real question should be, why would the state want to allow them?

Starting the building of a new maternity hospital was a stated priority for Simon Harris when he took on the troubled Department of Health almost one year ago. And he didn’t waste any time setting about the task.
