A dangerous time to be a journalist

The Washington Post journalist Jamal Khashoggi was last seen entering the Saudi consulate in Istanbul on October 2. He hasn’t been seen since, and is suspected to have been murdered and dismembered inside the consulate in the most grisly fashion.

Khashoggi’s suspected murder is shocking enough - the idea that he was killed and dismembered for having been such a thorn in the side of the Saudi royal family is sickening – but it illustrates the horrific truth that the abominable Saudi regime apparently feels as if it can, with impunity and in broad daylight, abduct a well-known journalist who worked for one of the most high profile newspapers in the English speaking ...
