The surprise withdrawal of SSE has put the National Broadband Plan in jeopardy, but this is just the latest twist in the story

It’s now clear that, after a multi-year process, the National Broadband Plan (NBP) is in jeopardy.

The Enet consortium - the final bidder for the contract because all the other bidders pulled out - has lost one of its key members, SSE. Only Enet and civil engineering firm the John Laing Group remain in the consortium.
