Zoom says state’s reliance on legacy tech providers is ‘holding back innovation’

Videoconferencing giant said public service often relies on providers with ‘outsized purchasing power’ and called for greater competition

Zoom, the US videoconferencing giant, said the state’s reliance on legacy providers for its digital infrastructure was “holding back innovation” and called on the government to do more to encourage public servants to work remotely in a letter to Paschal Donohoe last month.
