A “blacklist” of terms relating to Ireland’s abortion referendum which was created by YouTube staff has caused controversy after it surfaced online last week.

The document published by a right-wing US website shows that the Google-owned company intervened to prevent searches relating to the vote being treated by its system in the same way as other searches.
