Mental health facilities in Ireland are not fit for purpose, according to the head of the Mental Health Commission, John Farrelly.

Farrelly was speaking after the Mental Health Commission, which was set up to promote, encourage and foster high standards and good practices in the delivery of mental health services, won a case against the Health Service Executive (HSE) under the Mental Health Act last week.
