Windfall for GPs who meet prescription targets
GPs across the country will receive financial incentives to prescribe specific medicines under plans approved in recent weeks by health minister Leo Varadkar.
The move aims to reduce Ireland’s drugs bill as well as promote better prescribing among Ireland’s 2,700 practising GPs.
