- The Irish Times says mobile messaging service WhatsApp has announced plans to share users' phone numbers with its parent company Facebook, updating its terms and privacy policy for the first time in four years. The paper says users will have 30 days to opt out of being used for ad targeting by Facebook, but will not be able to opt out of sharing their data with the social network.
