Paddy Cosgrave, chief executive and co-founder of Web Summit, has said his controversial Twitter presence has helped the company attract staff.

Cosgrave regularly criticises members of the government and state bodies on Twitter. He also comments on aspects of Ireland’s economic policies, which he claims are designed to benefit “cronies”, including himself.
