Fitbit, a maker of wearable fitness tracking devices, which announced plans for an initial public offering (IPO) of its shares earlier this month, is close to announcing up to 50 jobs in Ireland.

The company, which makes wristbands and clippable devices to track a user’s activity by measuring calories burned and distance, has plans to expand its presence in Dublin.
