Waterland targets Irish firms with €2bn fund

Waterland, the Dutch private equity giant, is to make Ireland a core buyout market for its new €2 billion mid-market fund, executives at the firm have told The Sunday Business Post.

The firm closed the fund earlier this month and said it was significantly oversubscribed.

Waterland managing director Andy Scaife told this newspaper that he is targeting investments in mid-sized firms with earnings between €10 million and €15 million a year.
