Dermot Desmond’s African Gold Acquisition Corporation, a blank cheque Spac with more than $400 million to spend on deals, has suffered another setback with the loss of an experienced minerals and mining executive.

Brian Hinchcliffe, who was the vice chair of the board of directors, stepped down on December 16, the company announced in a statement last week.
