Varadkar under pressure to cough up for €437,000 medicine
Pressure is mounting on the Health Service Executive (HSE) and Minister for Health Leo Varadkar to fund the €437,000 medicine called Soliris, with patients exerting considerable pressure in the national media in order to gain access to the medicine.
Soliris is one of the most expensive medicines in the world, and can be a game-changer for patients with one of two rare diseases.
