Varadkar, Sefcovic to announce €1bn of European funding for Northern Ireland
The funding will be received through a new EU programme known as PEACEPLUS
Leo Varadkar, the Taoiseach, and Maros Sefcovic, the EU Commission vice-president, will be in Belfast today to announce a €1 billion funding plan for Northern Ireland.
They will be joined at the announcement in Belfast by a representative of the British government; Dr Jayne Brady, the head of the Northern Ireland Civil Service; and Paschal Donohue, the Minister for Public Expenditure.
