Varadkar assured tech firms of continuing support for data centre expansion

Leo Varadkar told big tech firms that Ireland would continue to enable the expansion of data centres “in a likely scenario of limited connection capacity”, newly released documents show.

Speaking notes prepared for the Tánaiste ahead of an April trade mission where he met with Google, Amazon, Meta, Intel and Apple, outlined that the Department of Enterprise would continue to support data centre connections.
