US-Irish fund giant buys 50 per cent of City Bin

It has emerged that Carlyle Cardinal, the US-Irish private equity fund, has taken a 50 per cent stake in waste management group City Bin.

It was previously revealed in this newspaper that the fund was making an investment, but the extent of it was unknown.

Competition authority documents reveal that two Carlyle-backed entities are acquiring joint control with Carlucci Holdings, the owner of the City Bin Co.
