Airline ‘seeking clarification’ after local authority issues enforcement notice over night time noise levels at Dublin Airport

Aer Lingus said it has long planned its summer 2023 schedule and is currently operating this schedule in line with the Irish Aviation Authority’s decision on summer 2023 capacity at Dublin Airport

Aer Lingus has expressed concern about the Fingal County Council enforcement notice about the number of night-time movements at Dublin Airport.

“Aer Lingus is concerned about this development and is seeking clarification as to the implications of the notice,” a spokeswoman for the airline said.

“The timing of this notice is particularly surprising given that FCC has separately approved the introduction of a more appropriate noise quota system at Dublin Airport.”
