Uniphar scraps NaviCorp acquisition after competition watchdog blocks deal

Uniphar has scrapped plans to buy NaviCorp, the pharmacy solutions company, in a multimillion-euro deal after the move was blocked by the state’s competition watchdog.

The Irish-listed healthcare services group this morning confirmed that the deal would “no longer proceed to completion” after the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) ruled it could lessen competition in the area.
