Public sector unions are making unfair pay demands that will “wreck” the country’s finances, according to the former head of the Department of Finance.
John Moran, who was secretary general from 2012-2014, warned that the economic recovery was losing momentum and the public finances “teeter on a new precipice” because of challenges facing the country from outside shocks.
