Unicare founder’s Upstream Healthcare raises $140 million

Firm partners with primary care providers in multiple states in the US and it will use this latest round of funding to help scale the business

Unicare founder Fergus Hoban’s Upstream Healthcare has closed a series B funding round of $140 million (€132.8 million).

This brings the US venture’s total funding to date to nearly $185 million. The round was co-led by technology and global growth investors Coatue and Dragoneer, with additional participation from other healthcare and technology investors, including Avidity Partners, Define Ventures and Mubadala.
