Uber’s e-scooter firm to set up shop in Dublin

A Silicon Valley electric scooter sharing company is to set up its European headquarters in Dublin.

Lime is valued at $2.4 billion, according to recent reports about its fundraising rounds, and plans a significant expansion in Europe this year.

The company is majority owned by Uber. Its system works through a mobile app which is used to locate nearby scooters; users then scan a QR code to unlock the vehicles.
