Two days of strike action at Dublin Bus began this morning, with the dispute expected to disrupt the travel plans of around 400,000 people.

Employees of the company are taking the action in a row over pay after talks aimed at averting the strikes ended unsuccessfully last Friday. Two further 48-hour work stoppages are scheduled to take place later this month.
