Two Dáil moves on climate change in one day, but no 'turning point'
Despite two big climate-related bills passed yesterday, there's a lot to be done, say experts
Yesterday was unexpectedly a momentous day when it came to environmental action in Ireland: the Dáil, in two broadly backed decisions, both ratified the historic Paris Agreement on Climate Change and a bill proposing a ban on fracking.
Climate change minister Denis Naughten proclaimed the day a ‘turning point’.
