Twitter notifies Varadkar of 140 Irish redundancies

Figure is lower than the 250 job cuts previously reported

Twitter has told the government it is laying off 140 staff at its Irish operation, fewer than the 250 originally expected, but it is believed that more staff will leave.

The company notified Leo Varadkar, the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, today of its plans to cut 140 roles.
