Bernard Gloster, the chief executive of the state Child and Family Agency Tusla has been appointed the new chief executive of the Health Service Executive, it was announced on Friday morning.

Gloster is expected to take up the position in spring 2023, replacing Paul Reid, who departed the role as head of the executive in October.
