Shelbourne has announced Acun Ilıcalı as its new majority shareholder.
The Turkish media mogul, who bought Hull City in England’s Championship, is the owner of Acunmedya where he is also the main host on several of its programmes.
Ilıcalı will take over as club chairman with Andrew Doyle, the outgoing chairman and leader of the previous ownership group, becoming vice chairman.
