Troubled whiskey firm in line for €3.5 million funding

Nephin Whiskey faced delays in establishing Mayo distillery in 2020 due to dispute and lockdowns

The directors of Nephin Whiskey, the beleaguered whiskey distillery in Mayo, expect to land €3.5 million in fresh funding by November of this year, according to newly-filed accounts.

The most recent accounts show that the company has been approved for €1.5 million through the Immigrant Investor Programme, with €500,000 of that sum already in their solicitors’ client account.
