Around 130 homes planned across three separate projects in Galway city have been declined by An Bord Pleanála in the last two months due to a lack of public transport services, the head of the Galway Chamber has said.

Kenny Deery, chief executive of the representative body for Galway businesses, called on the government to establish a special unit with a focus on coordinating transport and housing issues in the city.
