‘Trailer park’ fears raised on lower spec temporary homeless housing

The Department of Housing is examining plans to lower standards in emergency homeless hubs which would leave homeless people living in ‘trailer park’-style accommodation.

In response to a Dáil question given last week, Minister for Housing Eoghan Murphy confirmed that “a dispensation or relaxation of the building regulations may be required” for modular housing “hub clusters”.
