Award winning game designer Brenda Romero is suing the University of Limerick over alleged gender discrimination and breach of contract of employment.

She is believed to have made a protected disclosure under ‘whistleblower’ legislation designed to protect employees who voice concerns about claims of potential wrongdoing in the workplace.

It is understood that part of her claim is that she was subjected to gender discrimination that breached an equality clause in her contract.
