Tipperary-based Trifol secures €3 million EU grant

Company transforming waste plastic into wax will use funds to expand production and develop centre of excellence at the site

Tipperary-based Trifol, which has patented technology to turn waste plastics into wax, has secured a €3 million grant from an EU environment fund.

The grant from European Union Life Programme will be used to develop production at Trifol’s facilities in Littleton, Co Tipperary, enabling it to produce 4,000 tons of wax a year. The company will also develop a centre of excellence at the site.
