Taoiseach warns robots are serious threat to jobs

Secretaries, cleaners, taxi drivers, lorry drivers, machinery operators and shop workers among those most at risk

Taoiseach Leo Varadkar has warned that workers at all levels – from doctors to lorry drivers – could lose their jobs to robots and artificial intelligence.

Two out of every five jobs in Ireland are set to disappear or change substantially over the next 20 years because of increasing automation.
