IAG to make final move as Labour and union resistance to deal wanes

IAG boss Willie Walsh is preparing for one final push in his bid to capture Aer Lingus, and will outline a series of concrete proposals to win over opponents to the takeover offer at high-level meetings in Dublin over the coming days.

Despite last week’s government rejection of IAG’s offer, Walsh is increasingly confident of gaining vital political and union support for the controversial €1.4 billion takeover bid.
