Sustainable aviation-energy firm seeks to set up Irish plant

A British energy company which holds the world record for powering the first flight from 100 per cent synthetic fuel is seeking to set up an Irish operation as part of a plan to replace petrol, diesel and kerosene with sustainable alternatives.

Zero Petroleum, which was co-founded by Paddy Lowe, a former Formula One engineer, claims to have developed the world’s first fully fossil-free synthetic fuel capable of fuelling commercial aeroplanes.
