Supreme Court overturns judgment on €1.7 million loan

Ulster Bank secured summary judgment in the High Court against Paula Tiernan

The Supreme Court has set aside a summary judgment order against a woman who claims Ulster Bank “knew well” she was acting as an agent for her father when loaning her €1.7 million.

On affidavit, Paula Tiernan said she was an apprentice solicitor earning €23,000 in a Dublin law firm at the time the facility was issued in November 2007.
