Study: one million workers changed jobs last year

More than one million workers transitioned within the Irish labour market in 2016, while unemployment fell to 7.9 per cent – a drop of 30,000, new research has found.

The National Skills Bulletin 2017, released last week by state training body Solas, found that demand for skills in the Irish labour market in 2016 was strongest in the construction, professional, ICT, financial and industrial sectors. The report was the latest in a series ...
