Stripe officially notifies Varadkar of job cuts as up to 90 staff face redundancy

Tech company is one of several to have announced job losses over recent days, with Meta and Twitter laying off hundreds of employees in Ireland

Stripe has officially notified Tánaiste Leo Varadkar of its intention to make staff at its Irish operation redundant.

The tech giant, which employs between 500 and 600 staff in Ireland, contacted Varadkar on Wednesday to confirm it is making staff redundant, after its announcement that it plans to cut 14 per cent of its workforce worldwide.
