Strike threat at Aer Lingus over transatlantic sandwiches

Trade union Impact to hold ballot of the more than 1,000 cabin crew

Aer Lingus cabin crew are threatening strike action because the airline is forcing them to sell extra tea and sandwiches on its transatlantic services.

Trade union Impact has informed the company that it is to hold a ballot of the more than 1,000 cabin crew that it represents at the airline. It followed moves by Aer Lingus to implement a second trolley service on its services to the US.
