Meat factory protesters are determined to stay at their posts when talks resume this week

At the pickets outside Irish meat factories last week, farmers were under one simple order: “Stick tight.”

The beef protests were temporarily postponed last month to allow for talks between farmers and the meat industry, but that won’t be happening again any time soon. Farmers at the factory gates plan to stay at their posts when talks resume in the coming days.
